The trend towards the use of cloud applications is increasing the number of passwords that end-users have to remember and manage. Password policies and the requirement to change passwords periodically compound the problem, creating password fatique amongst end-users, reducing their productivity and resulting in downtime when they inevitably forget their login credentials.

Gartner research found that 20 - 50% of all helpdesk calls are for password resets and Forrester found that the average helpdesk call had a staggering cost of $70 to the business.
